SB 172                                                                                            
A message dated April 20, 2006, was read stating the Senate has failed                              
to concur in the House amendment to:                                                                
                                                                                                    
    SENATE BILL NO. 172                                                                             
    "An Act relating to the presentation of initiatives and referenda on                            
    the ballot."

    "An Act relating to election pamphlets and to the presentation of                               
    initiatives and referenda on the ballot; relating to review of                                  
    applications for certification of initiatives; relating to the                                  
    circulation and subscription of recall petitions; and providing for                             
    an effective date."

and respectfully requests the House to recede from its amendment.                                   
                                                                                                    
In the event the House fails to recede, the President appointed the                                 
following members to a Conference Committee to meet with a like

Representative Coghill moved that the House recede from its                                         
amendment to SB 172, namely HCS SB 172(FIN) am H, and                                               
recommended that the members vote no.                                                               
                                                                                                    
The question being:  "Shall the House recede from its amendment to
